Software Engineering Crew

 

 Joel Gyllenskog, President, Senior Engineer
After receiving his MS in Information Science from Caltech, Joel wrote compilers for Burroughs Corporation. He then taught Computer Science at California State University, in Sacramento, for 6 years. After moving to Boise in 1978, Joel worked as a consultant for 10 years, followed by 6 1/2 years as a Software Engineer at Hewlett-Packard in the Network Printer Division. Joel is well-versed in printer internals, network communications and programming languages. He has been with MicroWorks since 1995 and became President in 1996.
 Daniel Posey, Senior Software Engineer
Daniel graduated from Albertson College of Idaho with a BS in Computer Science/Math. He specializes in Windows Programming in C. He is also proficient in Delphi, Visual Basic, and C++. He joined MicroWorks in 1996.
 Erle Eikman, Software Engineer
Erle joined MicroWorks in 2000 after completing a Computer Science degree from Boise State University. Erle also holds an Associate's degree from Utah Valley State College in Computer and Electronics Technology. Aside from his programming skills (including C, C++, Windows C++ and Perl), Erle has extensive knowledge of USB (Universal Serial Bus) architecture and has designed both hardware, firmware, and drivers for USB devices from security keys to hard drives. His proficiencies include the UNIX, DOS and Windows environments.

 David Palmer, Software Engineer
Dave joined MicroWorks in 2001 as a summer intern, and then returned in 2002 as a full-time software engineer after completing bachelor's degrees in Computer Science and Mathematics at Brigham Young University. He is fluent in C, C++, and MIPS assembler, and is familiar with several other languages. He is well experienced in using software development tools on Windows, Unix, and Linux platforms. He has spent the last several years debugging business class embedded firmware. He completed his MS in Computer Science at Boise State University.

 
 Xiaoping Yang, Web/Database Development Engineer
Xiaoping graduated from Boise State University with double degrees in Computer Information Systems and Business Management. As a Macromedia Certified Professional, Xiaoping specializes in web-based application development using ColdFusion MX, ASP, HTML, XML, and JavaScript with Microsoft SQL 2000. His expertise also extends to Oracle database design and development. He joined MicroWorks in 2003.
 Albert Pittman, Senior Software Engineer
Albert's skill set spans a number of industries and applications. He started out in the power industry and migrated to software engineering. Albert is experienced in C/C++, Java, and .Net. He is currently finishing his BS degreee in Computer Science. Albert joined MicroWorks in 2003.
 Veeresh Math
B.E., in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of Mysore, India in Nov. 1991 with distinction. More than 11 years experience in all aspects of analysis, design and development of software packages using wide variety of languages and software tools.
Randall Barber, Software Engineer
BS in Computer Science from Brigham Young University - Provo. C/C++ / Java / PHP / ASP / J2EE / HTML / ColdFUsion / ASM  / PostgreSQL / MySQL / DB2 / Oracle / HSQL / Access.
Networking and Hardware Specialists
 Jeff Todd, Quality Assurance Specialist
Jeff is currently working on a Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems at Boise State University. He is an experienced Customer Service Specialist with excellent communications skills. He joined MicroWorks in 2002.
 Doug Hoyt, Network Administrator
Doug joined MicroWorks in 2003. He is a Professional Information Technology Specialist, with a diverse background in hardware and software. Known for customer service skills and ensuring that projects are completed swiftly and accurately with the best possible outcome. Continuously searching for new ways to increase reliability and efficiency with minimal costs.
 Jim Stanton
Jim received a B. S. in Mathematics-Computer Science and a B. A. in Art from Albertson College of Idaho in 1998 (Magna Cum Laude). He currently administrates the test infrastructure for a major client. His hobbies include Illustration, Oil Painting, Guitar Playing and Music in general, Creative Writing, Acting, Sports and Athletics, Weightlifting, Snowboarding, and Kickboxing.
Customer Representation
 Larry Larsen
Larry joined MicroWorks in 2004 with experience in sales and management. He is experienced in customer relations, cost analysis, bid inquiries, sales staff training, advertising, and marketing. Larry has achieved many Sales and Customer Satisfaction awards over his career.
Software Support
 Aaron Blanscett
Experience doing technical support for computer software and barcode products. 9 years of experience as a technician in the semi-conductor industry. Started as a production fab operator in and worked up to an engineering tech.
PrintAvant
 Brenda Phillips
Started at MicroWorks in 2007. Project manager for the PrintAvant group of software products for managing printers and copiers. Bachelor of Science: Computer Science (minor in Business Administration) Lakeland College, Sheboygan, Wisconsin
 Brandon Parker
Started at MicroWorks in 2007. Software Engineer. Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, 2007, American Sentinel University American Sentinel University
